Responsibilities: - Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities or special needs - Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming - Administer medication and monitor vital signs as needed - Ensure the safety and well-being of residents at all times - Promote and uphold resident rights and dignity - Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding - Maintain a clean and organized living environment - Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to develop and implement care plans - Document and report any changes in residents' condition or behavior Skills: - Strong patient care skills with the ability to provide compassionate care to individuals with diverse needs - Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required in a caregiving role - Knowledge of resident rights and the ability to advocate for individuals' needs - Familiarity with hospice care principles and practices - Excellent cleanliness and hygiene practices to maintain a safe environment for residents - Experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not required - Proficient in taking vital signs accurately and recording them appropriately - Understanding of activities of daily living (ADLs) and the ability to assist residents with these tasks - Knowledge of assisted living regulations and best practices Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
