Position Title: Deputy Project Director, Center of Excellence for Protected Health Information (CoE-PHI)
Reports To: Project Director, CoE-PHI
Employee Status: Full Time, Exempt
Location/Office: New York City preferred; may also be based in any of CAI's other offices: Albany, NY; Buffalo, NY; Atlanta, GA; Jackson, MS; Denver, CO, or Los Angeles, CA (CAI has a hybrid work schedule of working 2 days in the office and 3 days remote.)
GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Project Director, Center of Excellence for Protected Health Information (CoE-PHI), the Deputy Project Director, CoE-PHI will provide direction and day-to-day management for all activities associated with achievement of CoE-PHI goal and objectives, funded by SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration), established to provide training and technical assistance (TTA) to improve understanding and application of health privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and FERPA) as they apply to the provision of behavioral health and substance use disorder (SUD) treatment services among health professionals and administrators, state and local agencies, school professionals, and patients, families and communities.

These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the Deputy Project Director’s job. While performing the Deputy Project Director’s responsibilities, the employee is required to talk and hear. This position requires the employee to be on-site at a CAI office. The employee is often required to sit and work at a desk for prolonged periods of time and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times and set-up of training materials and resources. The position requires daily use of a personal computer and requires entering, viewing, and revising text and graphics on the computer terminal and on paper. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $80,000- $90,000. CAI offers a generous benefits package including:
