The Director of Operations will oversee the Rooms and Food & Beverage Divisions of the hotel. Duties will include training and coaching of direct reports, executing necessary decisions to drive Hyatt’s purpose and achieve Hyatt’s goal of becoming the most preferred hospitality brand in our local market. This individual will have the ability to ensure the hotel’s operations meet brand standards while building colleague engagement, understanding guests’ needs and maximizing hotel revenue. They will be responsible for short and long term planning and management of the hotel’s restaurant, Front Desk and Housekeeping. They will also be responsible for overseeing the development and recommendation of the budget, concepts and objectives for all areas of operation in the hotel.

Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate with have 6 years of progressive Hyatt divisional leadership experience within Food and Beverage and/or Rooms.
• Candidates will have the ability to lead and manage the guest experience throughout all hotel operations.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with, coach and lead others.
• Proven leadership skills and ability to develop team leaders into future roles.
• Degree in Hotel or Hospitality Management preferred.
• Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, proven track record in high volume concept, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line for the hotel’s operation.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills.
