Since then, its mission has expanded to include life and disability insurance, health benefits, property & casualty insurance, and publishing.The primary responsibilities of theBusiness Systems Analyst include supporting the Director of Finance Technology Systems in maintaining the Oracle applications for Shared Transaction Services, Accounting and Finance (EPM (Enterprise Performance Management) and DOMO), which include assisting with close processes, identifying, and developing innovative solutions to business issues and data compilation for reporting purposes. Will support BU/CU Projects that directly impact the Corporate Finance unit.
The Business Systems Analyst (Fusion Financials Functional Analyst) is the operational support analyst for the Fusion Financials (AP (Accounts Payable), Expenses, Procurement, GL (General Ledger), Fixed Assets, Lease Module, and Cash Management, Inventory and Costing) and provides analysis and assistance of troubleshooting both application and business process issues. This position is also responsible for supporting the documentation of business processes and having an expert-level understanding of the end-to-end finance related functions and reporting. The Business Systems Analyst evaluates the financials by collecting, monitoring and analyzing the data and brings suggestions and support of the business transactions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Analyzes business functions to recommend development of new or modified technology changes
- Assists with month, quarter, and year end close processes
- Identifies innovative solutions to business issues that conform to the technical specifications
- Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting the data
- Consults with business unit management and personnel to identify and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, data scope, usage, formatting, and security requirements
- Compiling data for annual reports, budgets, and cash flow reports, assessing operational performance and priorities
- Provides functional assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures
- Writes and maintains functional specifications for new or modified business systems
- Consults and coordinates with systems analysts and programmers to design and develop automated business systems
- Assists with the coordination and implementation of changes or enhancements to test business and functional processes during system development and quality assurance testing
- Assists business unit management and personnel to obtain additional information during system development and evaluate alternatives
- Supports the tracking and documenting of changes to functional and business specifications
- Assists others in the writing of user documentation, instructions, and procedures
- Monitors and supports post implementation problems and enhance requests
- Assists in the preparation of time and cost estimates for completing projects
- Prepare the monthly and quarterly financial reports of various units and departments
- Ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting
- Analyze historical and current financial data

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
- 7 years of finance related experience.

Salary Range: $93,000 - $121,000
