Chris King Precision Components is Hiring an IT Support Specialist Near Portland, OR

Schedule for this role is Monday - Friday from 8:30 - 5pm (Can be flexible)

We do require a drug screen within 30 days after your first day working.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Serve as first point of contact for Help Desk requests from all departments and users. Requests will come in via Support Tickets, email, Teams chat or in-person.

· Deliver excellent customer service by addressing user inquiries and concerns professionally and courteously; keep users informed about the status of their support requests and provide regular updates until the issue is resolved.

· Provide IT support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft core business applications and operating systems.

· Analyze and report on technical support trends within ticket tracking systems.

· Assist in the on boarding of Team Members including assisting with the setup, configuration, and deployment of desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices; install and configure software applications as required.

· Assist in establishment of computer usage policies and enforcement.

· Troubleshoot/Test/Install computer hardware and software. Assist with miscellaneous technology (Printers, A/V Equipment, Cameras, etc.).

· Update asset and license management tools with configuration and custody changes; maintain asset management system function and accuracy.

· Provide technical support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security.

· Clearly and concisely document all issues, requests, and resolutions within the ticketing system. Develop training manuals and SOPs (standard operating procedures).

· Assist with maintaining advanced systems/software (Servers, Network, Voice, ERP, Custom Applications, etc.)

· Assist with ad-hoc reports and analysis requests from management team.

· Assist with developing scripting/automation solutions.

· Assist senior staff with extension and customization of internal tools and software.

· Provide individual user instruction and/or training on company technologies.

· Assist with creating internal documentation, diagrams, and end-user how-to articles.

· Adhere to company’s environmental and social values when making decisions and recommendations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor's degree or minimum of 2 years experience in IT role.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Technical Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting Windows 10/11 and MacOS workstation environments.
  • Experience/familiarity with Microsoft 365 application support (MS Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Root cause analysis/troubleshooting for local hardware, software, server, network, and more.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Windows Server environments.
  • Basic Scripting knowledge (Bash, PowerShell, Python, etc.)
  • Familiarity with SQL queries and databases.

Soft Skills:

  • Reasoning – Ability to identify problems and take the necessary steps to solve those within the incumbent’s scope of knowledge.
  • Planning/Organization - Strong attention. Ability to manage multiple projects. Strongly motivated and able to set priorities.
  • Interpersonal- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Possess a high level of customer service to internal customers. Self-Starter
  • Language –Ability to effectively present and respond professionally using oral and written communication. Ability to create and maintain written documentation.

Preferred Technical Qualifications:

  • Microsoft 365 / Azure AD / AD on prem administration a plus
  • System administration for Linux/Windows Server environments a plus
  • Network administration of any kind in an enterprise environment a plus
  • Database Management and SQL data analysis a plus
  • Tableau/Power BI familiarity a plus.
  • Familiarity with maintaining websites through CRM tools (Wordpress).
  • Salesforce administration experience a plus.
  • ERP administration a plus.
  • Scripting/Development and analytics skills will grant high consideration (JavaScript, Python, SQL, Rest APIs)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires physical effort such as stooping and bending and occasionally lifting of objects (up to 50 lbs.).
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Use a computer frequently.

LEVEL OF SUPERVISION REQUIRED:

Minimal

INTERFACE (internal/external customers):

Successfully interact and cooperate with all company employees and company management, industry partners and general public. Provide IT information and services.
