Chipton-Ross is seeking a PC Support II for a contract opportunity in Burlington, KS.

This position is 100% onsite.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Under general supervision, install, maintain, and upgrade workstation hardware, software, and operating systems, support single and multifunction printing devices, smart phones, tablet devices, and mobile data systems.

This position also involves PC moves and equipment upgrades. This person must be able to resolve problems associated with Service Desk tickets that need escalated.

Individual must also provide technical knowledge and expertise necessary to solve medium to highly complex problems. This job is to be performed with limited supervision and has no responsibility or authority for the direction of others.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE :

Working knowledge of standard concepts, best practices and procedures related to set up / configuration of desktop hardware and current operating system.

o Working knowledge of desktop operating and networking systems.

o Other competencies as required by specific assignments may include knowledge of audio-visual systems, ruggedized laptops, and other computer equipment.

o Communicates effectively with all levels of employees, both technical and non-technical.

o Manages time effectively while assuring attention to details.

o Finishes tasks accurately, completely and in a timely manner.

o Works effectively in a team environment.

o Makes sound decisions with general guidance

Soft skills will be considered as well as technical capabilities. Soft skills will include someone that fits in with the team, who can work with customers and breakdown complex concepts for users to understand.

This includes meetings with many Executives for the organization that may include some high urgency issues needing addressed.

Working knowledge of Windows 10, Windows 11, Microsoft Office 365, Teams is required. Understanding of DNS and Active Directory (what it does and how it works).

Candidate must be familiar with maintaining laptop and PC hardware in addition to laser printer technology. Candidate must have the ability to troubleshoot conference room issues that include A / V equipment.

Experience with MECM (SCCM), Citrix, Virtual Desktop, and other Operating Systems is preferred.

In addition to normal office work conditions, candidate must have the ability to perform the physical activities of the job.

Includes, but not limited to awkward positions, balancing, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 70 pounds.)

Additional Notes :

Candidate will need to be comfortable working with armed security guards throughout the plant at all times. Must be comfortable being pulled away from the desk to work on issues in other locations throughout the plant.

Candidate must understand the importance of following internal processes that are specific to a nuclear plant.

EDUCATION :

Accredited Associate's Degree in a computer science-related field and 2 years desktop operating and networking systems OR

4 years recent experience in desktop operating and networking systems with a HSD / GED
