Your Mission:

As the Vice President of Community Impact, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission by leading our research, quality assurance, public policy, and community engagement efforts. You will be a key member of the Leadership Team, working collaboratively across departments to ensure strategic and cohesive design and implementation of current and future research and community engagement efforts.

Your Impact:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to spearhead the development and implementation of our Community Impact Plan. You will oversee the expansion of our research and policy efforts, drive programmatic impact through our Center for Social Impact, and build strong networks that drive measurable change on issues related to social justice and equity.

  • Providing strategic leadership in the development and implementation of our comprehensive Community Impact Plan.
  • Leading a Change Insight strategy committee to drive partnership and expansion efforts.
  • Developing relationships with key stakeholders to support and sustain CASL's Community Impact Plan.
  • Driving equitable and ambitious policy and advocacy goals for CASL and the communities we serve.
  • Conducting and facilitating research related to community impact strategies.
  • Measuring and evaluating community impact achievements through outcome measurement principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership & Community Impact Systems Management: Provide professional leadership and guidance in the development and implementation of components of a comprehensive Community Impact Plan. Lead a Change Insight strategy committee to drive partnership and expansion efforts. Ensure the Community Impact Plan is integrated throughout the organization in an equitable and inclusive format.
  • Research, Policy, and Community Planning: Drive equitable and ambitious policy and advocacy goals for CASL and the communities we serve. Conduct, coordinate, and facilitate research related to community impact strategies. Represent CASL in various human service collaborations, committees, and activities related to the Community Impact Plan.
  • Outcome Measurement: Achieve and maintain a strong understanding of outcome measurement principles and practice. Implement and utilize data management software tools for outcome measurement. Provide regular data reports to the Senior Vice President of Program Strategy and Program Committee for review.
  • Agency Relations: Provide thought leadership and technical assistance to Change Insight® Partners or others in preparing to participate in the community impact process. Develop and maintain relationships with representatives from partner agencies. Have an understanding, or willingness to learn, of immigrant and refugee stories to be able to effectively represent and speak to different historical nuances and contexts.

Requirements:

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • Master’s degree in public health, nonprofit management, public policy, or related field required (Ph.D. in evaluation a plus).
  • Minimum of ten years in a leadership role in community engagement and impact measurement.
  • Knowledgeable about and demonstrates evidence of effective use of data-gathering techniques and research analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-year research projects with varied deliverables.
  • Strong, clear, and flexible communication skills with equally strong interpersonal skills.
  • Keen understanding of the interconnected nature of social justice issues and their impact on minority communities.
  • Excellent English writing, reading, and speaking skills required. Spoken and written knowledge of Chinese and/or Spanish a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to attend local community events that would include nights and weekends as well as occasional national travel throughout the year
