Children's Home Network is Hiring a Program Manager (Respite Svc.) Near Tampa, FL

JOB SUMMARY: This Respite Services managerial position delivers Caregiver Support Services utilizing a broad range of interventions, community services and natural support systems. This dynamic position will work collaboratively with families and the community to ensure children birth through 13 years of age and their families receive respite services tailored to meet their needs, and promote the prevention of child abuse and neglect. This position involves a broad range of skills that include training and staff development activities, assessment services, consultation, and requires quality documentation of services provided. Responsible for presentations and outreach to the community to promote the program. Participates in program initiatives, innovations and the organization’s performance and quality improvement efforts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Provides oversight of the implementation of the Caregiver Support Services and quality improvement efforts. Provides oversight of the Respite Supervisors and Respite Providers.

2. Responsible of budgeting and fiscal management of the program.

3. Collaborates and coordinates activities with the Program Director to monitor contractual agreements and coordinate staff training needs.

4. Recruits and selects professional respite providers and promotes family selected providers.

5. Coordinates, contracts and collaborates with center based and residential respite providers.

6. Selects, supervises and trains department program and support staff. Responsible for completing employee evaluations on those directly supervised and for ensuring that an effective employee development, discipline and recognition programs are implemented within framework of The Children’s Home’s Human Resources policies and procedures.

7. Collects and reports on data as needed on a monthly and quarterly basis and submits data to funding sources as required.

8. Develops and monitors cooperative agreements with community agencies. Coordinates existing and added services and serves as a representative for various community committees.

9. Monitors outcome measures of program contracts and grants. Ensures outcomes are achieved

10. Coordinates independent contractors and monitors quality and compliance with contract provisions.

11. Provides leadership and participates in the organization’s performance and quality improvement efforts.

12. Ensures staff fully utilizes agency EHR system and is responsible for integrity of data.

13. Works within the philosophy and function of the Children’s Home Network.

14. Performs other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work or Human Services related field from an accredited university plus five (5) years of experience working with children and families, and three (3) years of experience should be in a supervisory or leadership role.

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver’s license with no record of criminal driving offense of license suspension.
  • Must possess means of providing job related transportation and show proof of required insurance. Must be insurable under CHN’s current auto insurance policy.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Must successfully complete and maintain FDLE clearance, Federal background and state criminal background check and sexual predator screening.

COMPETENCIES & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT:

Annual Training Requirements:

· The following training topics are required annually: Sexual Harassment, Blood borne Pathogens, Workplace Accident Prevention and Reporting, Confidentiality and Privacy Practices, Diversity/Cultural Competency, Child Abuse and Neglect Mandated Reporter Statutes and Methods, Prevention of Violence in the Workplace, OSHA–related training, Crisis Prevention, DCF Services to Deaf and Hard of Hearing Modules 1-3, DCF Security Awareness and other Programmatic Trainings.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

· Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Ability to establish effective working relationships with families, coworkers, supervisors, and other individuals. Possess effective interpersonal skills.

· Knowledge of agency’s organizational structure, standard operating procedures, and policies.

· Knowledge of child abuse or neglect reporting procedures and methods.

· Knowledge of infant and child development inclusive of developmentally appropriate strategies.

· Knowledge of intervention and behavior management methods, strategies, and techniques.

· Knowledge of quality documentation as required by agency standards, rules, and regulations.

· Ability to conduct assessments to develop family plans, and to provide follow-up services.

· Ability to work as a multi-disciplinary team member in a positive productive manner.

Essential Physical Skills:

· Visual: ability to safely operate a motor vehicle, read printed materials, and make observations of physical facilities.

· Hearing: ability to understand and comprehend spoken dialogue in individual and group settings.

· Ability to speak clearly and effectively.

Environmental Conditions:

· Works within an office environment, home office, family’s home, or within the community.

· High level of emotional discussions, requiring self-awareness and understanding of professional boundaries.
