Position Summary:Children's Aid, established in 1853, is one of New York City's leading child and family service organizations. The Brooklyn Family Center operates Child Welfare Family Services including Foster Care Services and Preventive Services. This site is currently located at 175 Remsen Street, 7^th Floor of a multi-level building, in Brooklyn. CA is looking for a part-time custodian worker to join the Remsen street team. This position requires working in-person in the office on all the assigned days/hours and require working evenings and Saturdays.

Essential Duties:

• Perform general cleaning duties to maintain cleanliness and appearance of assigned areas.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floor, dust and wipe down surfaces, sanitize restrooms, empty trash and recycling bins, clean windows and glass surfaces.
• Consistently maintains adequate supplies throughout daily work day.
• Assists with events which include moving tables and chairs for set up and breakdown, setting up conference rooms.
• Assemble and move furniture, shelving, and equipment within office; hangs pictures, bulletin boards, etc.
• Observe activities, report irregularities to Office Manager and Site Director.
• Advises Office Manage and Site Director of any conditions that may need additional attention and/or convey any messages staff members may have for Facilities.
• Regularly reports to the assigned post on time.
• Maintains established safety and infection control guidelines.
• In-person collaboration is an essential function of the job.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

REQUIRED

• Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning.
• Previous cleaning experience working in an office environment.
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies.
