Responsibilities
Lead Kitchen Team to maintain a food safe environment that consistently delivers crave-able food, in a timely manner; which meets or exceeds Chick-fil-A Quality Requirements.
Coaching the behaviors of the Kitchen and Back of House Team; Assistant KM, Team Leaders, Team Members, and Trainers.
Behaviors include:
Serving guests under 4-minutes without compromising accuracy, and team and food safety.
Attention to detail that ensures preparation and production procedures are followed according to Chick-fil-A brand standards.
Execution of systems; including JOLT checklist that ensures a refreshingly clean environment.
Maintaining a work environment that ensures and promotes food safety. Expectation Top 10% Board of Health semi-annual inspection and GOOD SAFE Evaluation.
Attention to Front and Back of House Team Member appearance according to the Team Member Handbook.
Daily collaboration with the Assistant Kitchen Manager, and General Manager, prior to peak day parts, to ensure maximum productivity. Troubleshoot issues as presented and delegate to Assistant KM and Kitchen Team Leaders as necessary.
Support LEAN365 production and waste management practices.
Coach, evaluate, and provide accountability, and feedback, on a daily basis for all Kitchen Team Leaders and Team Members to the General Manager. Execute 4-step progressive discipline policy.
Lead and execute Formal annual feedback/review process and training plans for Team Members and semi- annual for Assistant KM and Kitchen Team Leaders.
Consistent and deliberate development of Assistant Kitchen Manager, Team Leaders and Trainers.

Scorecard Measurement:
Responsible for updating kitchen goal boards. Goals measured on monthly performance.
Goal: Top 20% in following CFA Operating metrics.

Maintain 15% Profitability
Expectation: Regional Corporate Average FSU.
Behavioral Characteristics
Kitchen/Back of House Manager must:
Open availability including Fri and Sat. Work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Allocate a minimum of 5 hours a week to planning, scheduling, documenting, “other” responsibilities.
Effectively communicate all kitchen related goals to the BOH team.
Effectively coach and give direction.
Continuous improvement through problem solving and innovation.
Work with Assistant Kitchen Manager to ensure proper coverage of the kitchen for business needs.
Allocate a minimum of 5 hours a week to planning, scheduling, documenting, “other” responsibilities in collaboration with Assistant Kitchen Manager and/or General Manager.
Lead the kitchen with enthusiasm and passion, clear communication required.
Uphold Chick Fil-A food safety and brand standards at all times.
ServeSafe Certified – or ability to pass the test if administered by employer.
Allergen Certified
Reports to the General Manager/and or Assistant General Manager.
Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry at least 40 lbs.
Ability to bend, reach and twist, climb ladder, and stand for long periods of time.
Open availability – Fridays and Saturdays included.
Work a minimum of 40 hours per week, with overtime ability.
Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
Must be age 18 or older.
Must be authorized to work in the US.
