Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute a wide range of events, including conferences, meetings, weddings, and fundraisers. Move trailer and work logistics of it with Catering Director.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their event objectives and requirements
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to ensure cost-effective solutions
- Manage event budgets and track expenses
- Coordinate event logistics, including venue selection, catering, transportation, and audiovisual equipment
- Oversee event setup, including decor, seating arrangements, and signage
- Coordinate event timelines and ensure all activities are executed smoothly
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and attendees throughout the event
- Handle any issues or emergencies that may arise during events
- Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement
Experience:
- Proven experience as an Event Coordinator or similar role
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with clients, vendors, and team members
- Knowledge of hospitality industry practices and trends
- Ability to upsell services and products to clients
- Experience in budgeting and financial management for events
- Proficient in time management to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Familiarity with event planning software and tools
