Chichester School District is looking for a Director of Human Resources to join our team!

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field; three or more years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience or as determined by the Superintendent.
  • Previous K-12 Human Resources experience strongly preferred.
  • Determination to drive student achievement and set high expectations for all students
  • Ability to work effectively with other employees, students and parents.

 WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR US:

  1. Monitors Human Resources policies and record keeping, including maintaining all employee files and computerized Management Information System files.
  2. Manage all recruitment; screening and hiring practices; participate in interview process as needed.
  3. Coordinates and maintains records for all employee performance evaluation programs.
  4. Authorizes and oversees wage and salary administration for all employees.
  5. Administers provisions of collective bargaining agreements and/or district labor relations procedures and practices.
  6. Advises managers and supervisors in handling of corrective action in accordance with progressive disciplinary policy.
  7. Ensures compliance to employment laws and Department of Education regulations.
  8. Prepares and manages annual district budget for compensation and benefits.
  9. Oversees and manages all employee Leave Provisions.
  10. Manages and directs substitute staffing agency; approve hires for all substitute teachers.
  11. Prepares and presents monthly school board personnel reports.
  12. Oversees District Workers Compensation procedures.
  13. Assures completion of all employee performance evaluations and any related state reports.
  14. Authorizes and manages all supplemental and extracurricular payments to district employees.
  15. Prepares reports required by the District, Federal, State, and outside agencies.
  16. Assures adherence to all Department of Ed staffing guidelines to ensure instructional staff members are properly certificated.
  17. Plans and directs implementation and administration of benefits programs for the school district to include but not limited to COBRA, ADA, FMLA, and HIPAA compliance
  18. Acts as troubleshooter and liaison between school district and insurance companies, insurance brokers and other insurance service agencies and providers.
  19. Prepares, collects, and compiles statistical and other pertinent data for effective collective bargaining and as needed for district reports.
  20. Prepares and maintains records and manages other duties related to administration of unemployment compensation claims and benefits; may also represent the district at referee hearings.
  21. Provides guidance for retirement procedures to employees.
  22. The Superintendent or designated supervisor may assign other duties.

  • School Health Record - includes physical & tb test from within a year
  • Act 24 (PDE Form 6004) - Arrest/Conviction Report
  • PA Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release -A separate form must be completed for: Current employer; and All former employers that were school entities; and All former employers where you were in a position that involved direct contact with children.
