POSITION SUMMARY The academic advisor is responsible for developing individual student academic plans. As a member of the guidance and academic advising staff, the academic advisor will ensure that all students are enrolled#in appropriate classes to complete school and state-required graduation requirements. The academic advisor must be able to efficiently and correctly analyze transcripts and place students in classes that are most beneficial to meet graduation requirements. Factors to consider include but are not limited to analyzing the academic history from the #student and parent/guardian perspectives. The academic advisor will build relationships with students, teachers, families, and community agencies. The academic advisor will complete a final sign-off ensuring students have met Arizona requirements for graduation. The academic advisor will collaborate with the principal, parents/guardians, students, and previous schools to meet the needs of the students. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Bachelor#s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Bilingual#preferred Possess#a#valid#Class#1#Fingerprint#Clearance#Card#issued#by#the#Arizona#Department#of#Public#Safety. Must#have#strong#computer#skills,#considerable#public#speaking#ability,#and effective#organizational#skills. Must be willing to participate in school/non-school activities after school, evening, on and off-campus, and outside of the regular school year (summer/winter). Effective January 3, 2022, all CPLC Employees and all Service Providers, are required to be Fully Vaccinated against COVID-19.
