Assistant Manager

Purpose:

The Program and Servies Assistant Manager directs, and participates in, the workflow of all day-to-day Programs and Services employees within Cherry Street Mission Ministries (CSMM) as directed by the Programs and Services Manager. This position holds accountable the Program and Services Manager to ensure policies and procedures are followed and that work is being completed safely, efficiently, and effectively. This position assists with Program and Services staff schedules, supports, and maintains documentation of work performed by Program and Services employees to effectively report issues and drive solutions for CSMM Guest services.

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with the Program and Services Manager to design, implement, and evaluate social service programs that align with the organization's mission and goals.
  • Responsible for upholding all standard operating procedures (SOP’s); ability to read, understand, and adhere to all written policies and procedures.
  • Provide direct social work services to guests, including assessment, and case management.
  • Work closely with the Program and Services Manager to foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Supervise and schedule Program and Services employees, to ensure coverage.
  • Participate in the Manage on Call rotation, holiday rotation as needed.
  • Provide direct supervision and guidance to Program and Services employees.
  • Effectively complete and delegate work to ensure all operational duties are completed to a standard of excellence.
  • Train and mentor Program and Services employees to achieve operational excellence, by providing regular feedback on staff performance both successes and challenges.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date guest records, program documentation, and statistical data.
  • Prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders, as required.
  • Assign Community Resources Navigators caseloads, and regularly evaluate.
  • Ensure adherence to licensing regulations, ethical standards, and best practices in social work.
  • Develop and manage case plans, coordinating services and resources to meet the diverse needs of clients.
  • Collaborate with other professionals and community resources to ensure a holistic approach to guest care.
  • Work closely with emergency services, law enforcement, medical professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure a coordinated response to crises.
  • *Essential Functions may be reviewed and revised upon management discretion.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work.
  • 2 years management experience preferred
  • Experience working with non-profit organizations preferred

Licenses, Certificates, and Other Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License Required
  • Mental Health First Aid Certification within the first year of employment preferred
  • De-escalation Certification or within the first year of employment
  • CPR certification or within the first year of employment
  • Trauma- Inform Care Training or completed within the first year of employment
  • Narcan Training or completed within the first year of employment

Lifting Requirements

  • Sedentary work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
