Our busy company is looking to hire an experienced construction bookkeeper to assist us in managing all financial transactions, including accounts receivable and payables, general ledger journal entries, and payroll. $25 hourly

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial transactions, such as credit card and bank reconciliations, and manage the accounts payables and accounts receivables process
• Safeguard the accuracy of the general ledger and journal entries, prepare balance sheets, and financial reports
• Ensure accurate financial records, contracts, tax reports, annual budgets, and financial statements are up to date
• Use extensive data entry to ensure all financial data is input into accounting software
• Process invoices, checks, and payroll accurately and on time and resolve any invoice issues

• Assist with office projects from time to time – providing specific bookkeeping support, research, or hands-on tasks
• Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested
• Monitor office supply levels and reorder as necessary
• Answering phones and in-person inquiries with regard to vendors
• Mail deliveries and bank deposits

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of construction accounting concepts, tax strategies, and best practices
• Must have excellent organization, analytical, problem-solving, and communications skills
• 5 years of experience in accounting or full-charge bookkeeping experience in the construction industry
• Skilled in Microsoft Office, Excel, and accounting software, such as QuickBooks
• Associate’s degree in accounting, or business, or related field is preferred - high school diploma is required
