Cherokee Nation is Hiring a Client specialist Near Pryor, OK

Overview Responsible for providing baseline program and department information. Conducts initial client interview process and intake.

Interprets policies and procedures and communicates information to clients. Performs tasks related to general office operations and reception.

Qualifications EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT High school diploma or general education degree (GED); no exceptions. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT At least six (6) months of experience in a related field.

COMPUTER SKILLS An individual should have knowledge of Database software, Internet software, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets the requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals / Entities (LEIE).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.

The employee is frequently required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to correct / adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Provides exceptional and professional customer service to clients in all interactions. Maintains an ethical professional manner while performing all aspects of the job.

Works with individuals of all backgrounds, barriers, and demographics. Performs tasks related to general administrative office operations.

Provides intake and completes applications and / or registration for clients. Assists in gathering all information to assist with determining eligibility and levels of service.

Assists in computing income to help determine client eligibility. Submits completed required client documentation for application processing.

Responds to client and vendor inquiries. Provides follow-up on clients internally and externally to ensure access to available services is provided appropriately and timely.

Secures and verifies preliminary documentation for application, and requests further information as needed. Provides necessary reports to supervisory staff regarding any customer complaints.

Maintains initial case files and transfers those files to appropriate staff members for continued program service. Maintains daily logs and data necessary for program use and reporting requirements.

Represents Career Services at meetings, community events, and / or other informational venues for clients and the general public.

Upholds all policies and procedures related to confidentiality. Other duties may be assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES No supervisory responsibility.
