The Software Developer will assist with the development, maintenance, testing, and deployment of software code in support of NGA business applications. The Software Developer will interface with other team members and customers/users to collect requirements from the government leads and consumers of business data and applications. The Software Developer will develop responsive user interfaces while improving the user experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop applications using any of the following: JavaScript,TypeScript, Angular, ReactJS, Node.js, or Express
• Develop web applications and integrate them with backend services using REST APIs
• Drive continuous improvements in deployment, management, and monitoring of infrastructure and application’s web services
• Utilize Agile development methodologies
• Deploy, automate, maintain, and manage AWS cloud-based system, to ensure the availability, performance, scalability, and security of systems.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• BA/BS and 3 years of relevant experience OR
• High school diploma or GED and 5 years of relevant experience
• Experience with frontend development using ReactJS or Angular
• Experience with JavaScript and/or Typescript
• Experience developing RESTful APIs
• Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to pass a CI poly

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong working experience in all phases of the SDLC
• Experience with the following tools: Git, GitLab CI/CD, Docker, and SonarQube or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of NoSQL: DynamoDB, MongoDB, etc.
• Experience in building REST APIs and Web Services
• Must be well organized, an effective communicator at multiple levels, and able to grasp system concepts and communicate their applications
• Must be capable of quickly learning new systems and associated software applications for proficient execution of tasks
• Must be capable of managing multiple projects with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contract manufacturing environment
• Must be able to speak effectively before groups of internal and/or external customers or employees
