The Capital Stress Testing group within Treasury manages the execution and delivery of the Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) and Dodd-Frank Act Stress Test (DFAST) capital stress testing exercises for the Corporation and its subsidiaries as well as the resolution planning activities for Schwab Bank. We own the design, implementation, and the gathering of documentation from groups across the organization. As Schwab’s financial profile and regulatory requirements evolve, so does our department. Our team also integrates other regulatory requirements into the firm’s framework and performs ad hoc analyses such as peer analytics.

In this role, you will support the governance of the capital stress testing program as the Project Manager. You will be responsible for the planning and coordination of the project, tracking the completion of key milestones, anticipating issues, understanding dependencies, and resolving challenges under tight deadlines. The Project Manager position is a people leader role.

What you have

• At least 5 years of prior work experience at a financial services organization with experience in people leadership
• Experience or exposure to regulatory reporting (Enhanced Prudential Standards, CCAR, DFAST, resolution planning, and Basel III) is highly preferred
• Demonstrated project management experience with the ability to organize, manage, and prioritize several projects at once
• Demonstrated data management experience with the ability to organize, manage and distill data for management reporting
• Strong interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to build cross-functional relationships and to interact effectively with peers across the firm; a high energy individual is preferred
• Excellent time management skills and ability to deliver with multiple competing deadlines
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• High attention to detail
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint and prior experience using SharePoint and Workiva preferred
• Bachelor’s degree required

What you’ll do:

• Organize and own the capital stress testing project calendars and monitor deliverables and deadlines
• Lead the preparation and distribution of meeting materials, including tracking and monitoring follow-up items
• Facilitate meetings that provide critical review of capital planning results
• Execute and support governance activities around the capital stress testing model landscape
• Partner with cross-functional teams such as Central Finance, Risk Analytics and other internal business partners to ensure alignment across the capital stress testing governance activities and to support modeling activities
• Assess the impact of regulatory changes and perform gap analyses
• Track the remediation of process improvements, including self-identified, audit, and regulatory matters
• Develop subject matter expertise in capital stress testing regulations
• Perform quantitative analyses for senior management, primarily related to capital and peer analytics
• Prepare written updates for the annual policy, procedures and relevant Capital Plan documents
• Support the Director of CST in the execution of program management responsibilities, progress monitoring, and stakeholder communication
• Manage team member(s) to execute governance activities, quantitative analyses, and ad hoc projects
