Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. You will be responsible for managing the revenue cycle and ensuring timely payment from customers. This is a vital role within our organization, as it directly impacts our cash flow as well as supports the company's mission of "creating the most effective place for our customers to do business" through a focus on customer satisfaction while applying our financial policies. Responsibilities:

• Posts customer payments by recording cash, ACH, check, and credit card transactions.
• Performs daily cash management duties to include the reconciliation of cash on hand, remote bank deposit, and distribution of cash receipt logs.
• Monitor and collect accounts receivable by contacting customers.
• Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectable amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared.
• Investigates and resolves account discrepancies by obtaining information from internal departments and customers.
• Resolves invalid or unauthorized deductions with customers.
• Ensures orders are released to the warehouse in a timely manner by actively monitoring the credit queue in the WMS and resolving pending credit actions.
• Reviews the previous days invoices that did not clear the queue to determine if they shipped and require invoicing.
• Monitors, validates and reconciles various business reports.
• Reviews, finalizes and processes customer credit memos.
• Leads the Accounting phone queue to assist customers on accounting related matters.
• Creates, maintains and updates customer files.
• Support and back-up Credit Manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required with college courses in accounting or related degree highly preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable or similar role.
• Proficient typing (50wpm) and Microsoft Office skills. Ability to quickly learn and leverage ERP system and other technology. 10 key by touch.
• Aptitude for mathematics with the application of financial expertise.
• Self-disciplined with ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally and tactfully
• Ability to build relationships with customers and internal departments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
• Organizational skills: strong time management, efficiency and accountability.
• Capable of maintaining confidentiality.
