Champions Funding is Hiring a Closer/Funder Near Gilbert, AZ

Description

We are looking for a mortgage closer to coordinate all phases of loan closing. The mortgage closer's responsibilities include preparing loan closing packages, communicating with all parties involved in the transaction, and ensuring all paperwork is complete, accurate, and compliant with legal regulations.

A successful mortgage closer should be detail-oriented, have a great sense of organization, and be able to maintain accurate closing schedules.

Requirements

  • Explain the closing process to our clients.
  • Review documents with customers.
  • Explain mortgages' legal and financial aspects to customers.
  • Communicate with banks and other institutions.
  • Prepare and review loan closing packages and paperwork.
  • Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all required documents.
  • Manage and resolve any concerns, problems, and documentation issues.
  • Acting as an intermediary between all parties involved in mortgage loan transactions.
  • Ensuring closing details comply with state and federal regulations.
  • Coordinating mortgage closing proceedings.
  • Maintaining accurate closing schedules.
  • Performs wire setup.
  • Completes due diligence on loan files.
  • Communicates with field and warehouse banks.
  • Disburses loans and confirms disbursements with closing agents.
  • Reconciles warehouse lines daily.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Issuing of the initial CD and Change of Circumstances.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant loan closing experience.
  • Current Non-QM experience preferred. 
  • High School Diploma and/or GED equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Someone who is self-motivated and exhibits personal accountability.
