**Job Summary:**

These duties may include preparing and cleaning the work area, ensuring that proper safety measures are taken, and assisting with the setup and dismantling of scaffolding. The masonry laborer may also be responsible for setting up forms for pouring concrete and assisting in the pouring and spreading of mortar or other masonry materials.

Physical strength and stamina are important qualities for a masonry laborer, as the job often requires lifting and carrying heavy materials, such as bricks, blocks, and bags of cement. Additionally, attention to detail and a good sense of spatial awareness are necessary for cutting and placing bricks and other masonry materials accurately.

In addition to their physical duties, masonry laborers may also be responsible for maintaining and caring for the tools and equipment used in the masonry trade. This can include cleaning and oiling tools, as well as performing routine maintenance tasks to prevent damage and ensure the safe operation of equipment.

Working as a masonry laborer can be physically demanding and may require working in various weather conditions. It’s important for masonry laborers to be able to work well as part of a team, as they’ll often be working closely with masons and other construction professionals.
