Our team of scientists and engineers is committed to making a new generation of genomic technologies accessible and affordable for a multitude of previously unapproachable apps. Centrillion is backed by venture capital and strategic investors and is located at Palo Alto, CA, at the innovation center of Silicon Valley and close to Stanford University.Job DescriptionManages the maintenance and repair of facilities, equipment and machinery; assists in the planning in the most economical manner conducive to operational goals. Maintains a preventative maintenance program and a spare parts inventory sufficient to maintain operations in an efficient and productive manner. Essential Job Functions Identifies current and future maintenance requirements by establishing rapport with management, engineering, technicians, operators and other persons to understand maintenance requirements; recommends and participates in capital improvement projects. Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual maintenance budget; schedules expenditures; analyzes variances and initiates corrective actions; obtains required parts and services by negotiating for the best terms with suppliers. Ensures production operations by determining work priorities and scheduling repair, maintenance and installation of machines, tools and equipment. Supports process equipment development and improvement by reviewing new processing plans; discusses equipment needs and modifications with internal and external engineering personnel; coordinates activities of direct reports. Provides for facility utilities by directing the installation, modification and maintenance of utility system activities. Designs, implements and modifies preventative maintenance programs by reviewing production, quality control and maintenance reports and statistics; inspects operating machines, equipment, and systems for conformance with operational and or regulatory standards. Directs maintenance operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing programs, operational, and employee relations policies and procedures; on-call at all times to minimize downtime. Resolves maintenance problems by conferring with management, engineering and quality personnel. Protects employees and visitors by maintaining a safe and clean working environment; reviews organization safety/maintenance checks and program results; directs custodial and facility work functions, including pest control, to maintain a professional working environment consistent with company GMP as well as external regulatory requirements. Ensures a safe working environment as safety coordinator by training employees to maintain a high level of safety awareness in the performance of their duties in such a manner that meets or exceeds pertinent regulatory agencies; directs and maintains the facility calibration program within established guidelines. Completes departmental requirements by scheduling, assigning, and following through with employees. Ensures that all federal, state and local regulations pertaining to, but not limited to, radioactive materials, licensing compliance, safety, EPA, OSHA rules and regulations are adhered to. Must maintain a working knowledge of regulations and establish a monitoring program that responds to audit activity in a constructive manner. Maintains professional skills, knowledge and abilities by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and participating in professional societies. Protects company confidential information by properly storing, retrieving and disseminating such information only to those authorized. Manage and coordinate facility maintenance and repair: HVAC; Plumbing, Electrical, Cleanroom, Building systems, Janitorial, Floor mats,recycling and lab waste, Management of building access, Coordination of services in support of ISO requirements, other related duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Requires: A minimum of five (5) years experience in facility maintenance environment including a working knowledge of , mechanics, electrical, and electronic applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of OSHA, EPA, animal handling and commercial regulationsDetail-orientedMulti-taskingHighly organizedCustomer service orientatedAdaptable and flexible.Additional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
