Primary Purpose
Monitor 2-D open lab hours and assist in painting and design studio activities, including exhibition of student work.
Essenatial Duties and Responsibilities
Assist mainly in painting and design studio; may also be asked to help with exhibition of work in hallways and gallery. Assist with equipment, reference materials, and checking tools in and out. Assist with maintaining storage system and inventory of tools, equipment, instruction aids and reference materials. Assist with maintenance and minor repairs to tools and equipment. Monitor student use of the studio and clean up at the end of each shift.
Student worker is responsible for the safety and security of the equipment in the classroom. Also responsible for turning off all equipment and verifying the room is locked and secure.
May be asked to assist in other art labs or gallery events if needed and works with the student schedule.

- Ability to use software including Microsoft Office Suite and email.
Ergonomic Requirements
A flexible work schedule may be necessary due to the nature of the responsibilities. Opportunities may exist for nights and weekends,
2-D Lab Assistant must be able to function effectively indoors in an art studio environment. Requires to write, read written materials and computer screens, and ability to use telephonic conversations. Occasional lifting up to 25lbs. May need to use a ladder. All individuals are required to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Minimum Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Awarded and accepted Federal Work-Study for 2023-24
- Meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress for financial aid.
