Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing patient care and administrative support in a clinic setting. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting healthcare professionals, performing basic medical procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the medical facility.
Duties:
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and treatments
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Administer basic life support when necessary
- Prepare patients for procedures and assist with patient positioning
- Provide patient education and instructions on medication, diet, and lifestyle changes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment
- Assist with scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and answering phone calls
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or relevant healthcare position
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Proficiency in performing basic medical procedures, such as taking vital signs and collecting specimens
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient care
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with medical administrative support tasks, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic health record systems
