Medical Assistant - CMA / RMA

At Jeffers, Mann and Artman Pediatric (JMA) our mission is to provide excellent medical care in a caring, family-centered environment and assist families in building happy, healthy children.

JMA is looking for full-time Medical Assistant CMA - RMA to join our energetic, well trained staff in our Raleigh Location.

By joining our fantastic team of providers and support staff, Medical Assistant CMA - RMA's are able to utilize your medical assistant skills with the following clinical responsibilities:

• Working as a valued member of our clinical care team (Providers, RN, LPN, Lab Tech, Lactation Consutant, CMA, RMA) providing quality care to our pediatric patients/families watching our patients grow through their milestones.
• Rooming and/or intake process, collecting data, including vital signs, height, weight, vision, hearing, and data related to patient's reason for visit;
• Gathering patient and family data, including medical and social history;
• Reviews patient's current medication list, allergies and preferred pharmacy;
• Assists the provider as directed, during treatments, examinations and procedures;
• Administers vaccinations under the direction of a provider;
• Collects specimens, performs phlebotomy, and performs basic lab testing;
• Reviews the patient record to determine whether patient requires any routine health screenings;
• Provides patient with after-visit, follow-up, self-care or procedural instructions and/or educational materials as directed by provider.

Opportunities to expand Medical Assistant CMA - RMA skills:

• Coordination of specialty programs - Vaccine Inventory Coordinator, Population Health Specialist, and other opportunities for continued growth.
