Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. As the Accountant, you will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting functions of the business as well as month end and year end processes. The ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience, a strong understanding of accounting principles and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

This could be either a full time or part time position, depending on the experience of the candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of how ERP/manufacturing systems relate to financial reporting and performance
• Complete the month-end and year-end closing process, including preparing journal entries, accruals, bank reconciliation, overhead allocations and creating financial statements and reports
• Prepare and review general ledger and financial statements for accuracy
• Assist in maintaining standard cost structures and departmental overhead as raw material and labor costs change.
• Maintain payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and meet all reporting requirements for each
• Preparation of 1099 forms
• Maintain all company benefit plans for all employees
• Participate in other projects and initiatives as requested

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
• 3-5 years experience with inventory accounting and standard costing
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products suite
• Good verbal and written communication skills, and a willingness to work as a partner with others
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
