BASIC FUNCTION (the primary purpose of this position):

This position supports execution of projects developed by the Marketing Department. Works collaboratively with all marketing team members to ensure the marketing strategy and vision of the property is carried out. Supports department management with administrative duties.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Promote a clean, safe, healthy and friendly work environment for employees and guests; report and direct safety issues to Safety Committee.
  • Provide administrative support to the marketing department by assisting management with schedules, meetings and other organizational needs.
  • Attends department meetings throughout the property to advise and inform on upcoming promotions and other marketing initiatives as assigned.
  • Assists in inventory control and record keeping of assets including but not limited to: Mill Club gifts and incentives, warehouse inventory, brochures, coupons and other assets of value.
  • Administers Mill Casino donation program by intaking applications, determining eligibility set within policy & procedures, communicates timely with applicants, and processes donation packets with required signatures.
  • Responsible for department purchase orders but not limited to: vendor orders, supplies and promotional items.
  • Reviews and proofs Marketing collateral such as; promotions, planning guides and other assets as assigned.
  • Inspects The Mill property and outside venues to remove and update advertising collateral.
  • Maintains security and confidentiality of files, records, lists and other player and company financial information.
  • Provide CEDCO Office Manager with draft letters and/or invitations to Tribal Households in a timely manner, and execute mailings of correspondence.
  • Maintain high standard of courtesy, professionalism and discretion in communications to or about customers, their arrangements and finances.
  • Adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies in an ethical manner.
  • Must be a team member by providing input, suggestions, and participating in projects, committees, special events, public events and various casino activities as directed by department management.
  • Develops creative scripts and messaging copy and placement for various mediums.
  • In conjunction with management, oversee promotional events including researching acts, bookings, contracts, travel arrangements, and ensuring payment.
  • Manage flow of promotional events including timeline development, budget, and organization of install and tear down.
  • Develop and implement the Promotional Planning Guides.
  • Act as the communications person between the marketing team and other departments.
  • Stay informed about all property events, initiatives, products and services.
  • Position requires working without supervision and organizing and tracking multiple players, projects and large amounts of detail.
  • Oversee and ensure departmental compliance of gaming related policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS (objective educational or technical training required; skills; and years of experience):

  • High school diploma required. Some college or a degree in a related field a plus.
  • Minimum of two years of marketing, sales, administrative or customer service experience required.
  • Possess strong analytical, collaborative, communication, quantitative, and teambuilding skills.
  • Ability to take direction from multiple sources.
  • Deep knowledge of using various software applications such as Microsoft Office, CRM tools, Wordpress, etc.
  • Have excellent interpersonal, problem solving and customer service skills and present a positive and professional demeanor.
  • Must be very detailed orientated, multi-task oriented; possess strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality pertaining to financial data, casino procedures, company policies and guest information.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment while consistently exercising tact and discretion.
  • Must pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug free work place policies.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT (the physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Ability to work weekends, holidays and evening hours as business demands. While performing duties of this position, employee may be required to sit or stand for extended periods, and frequently walk, and use hands to; finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Ability to manage stress appropriately, make decisions under pressure, manage anger, fear, hostility and violence of others appropriately. This position requires the ability to process information using computer methods and technology more than 50% or the time. This position will require some telephone skills. Must be able to move chairs, tables and event props as necessary. The casino work environment may expose you to second hand smoke on a regular basis.
