Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the medical staff.
Duties:
- Perform vital signs measurements, including blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and respiratory rate
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Assist with medical procedures and examinations
- Prepare patients for appointments and assist with patient intake
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Provide medical administrative support, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient information
- Ensure compliance with medical protocols and procedures
- Assist with patient education on treatment plans and medication instructions
- Handle patient inquiries and provide excellent customer service
Experience:
- Previous pediatric experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role preferred
- Proficiency in medical terminology and coding
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
Requirements:
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or relevant certification
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing situations
