Gastrointestinal Specialists is a private practice located in Southeastern Massachusetts, specializing in gastroenterology. We are seeking part-time registration clerks who will also act as a support person to our Central Scheduling and Booking departments. Candidate must be dependable, ability to work in a team setting and must be flexible as this position requires a number of tasks to support our Scheduling and Booking departments. Medical office background preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Retrieve patient demographics and medical records from various computer software and/or PCP office.
• Accurately register patients in our practice management software.
• Assist with compiling H&P's for upcoming procedures.
• Faxing, scanning and copying documents.
• Additional tasks to support the department.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to work Monday-Friday (25 hrs)
• Previous medical office experience preferred.
• Familiarity with medical insurance guidelines.
• HIPAA Knowledge.
