Work Hours

  • Will be required to work flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs.
  • Scheduling may include holidays, nights and weekends depending on travel and hotel events.

Job Requirements

  • Must have minimal 2 years experience in social, catering or wedding sales.
  • Must have excellent hospitality sales skills from rapport building to closing business to following up to close their next group meeting.
  • Must be able to identify client’s primary buying criteria and personal goals quickly and accurately; then be able to sell to those needs.
  • Must be creative in client approach, creating proposals, planning and conducting wow sites inspections, and closing/stealing business.
  • Must possess excellent communication, follow-up, and organizational
  • Sets high personal performance standards and enjoys keeping track of individual and team progress toward goals.
  • Must be proactive and have a creative, positive, and focused
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to apply them in a dynamic environment.
  • Work cohesively with co-workers and all departments as part of a team.
  • Build morale and promote positive employee engagement.
  • Follow all appropriate policies and procedures while constantly striving to improve standards of operations.

Job Summary

The Wedding Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying and soliciting qualified target wedding and social businesses to achieve/exceed individual sales goals (RNs, ADR, revenue, and F&B). This manager will execute all sales-related activities from outside calls, sales trips/trade shows, sites, social, networking, etc. for their territory/market. Building strong, trusting, long-lasting client, referrals and peer relationships is a must. Sales Manager must understand their financial part in the overall revenue goal and success of the Central Coast Collection hotels.

Essential Job Duties

  • The ability to achieve yearly personal sales booking goals.
  • The ability to be fully versed in all banquet space, facilities and capabilities of competitive market.
  • Coordinates and directs the execution of functions to ensure customer specifications/expectations are adhered to and that the function runs smoothly and efficiently based on knowledge of quality food production and service requirements.
  • Responds to inquiries pertaining to requests for information, bidding and planning for events, and confirmation regarding weddings, both long and short range.
  • Exceed established monthly, quarterly, and annual targeted sales goals.
  • Establishes new client relationships and maintains existing relationships to maximize revenue.
  • Actively solicits new business wedding and social opportunities through prospecting target client lists.
  • Seeks methods to penetrate key business activities within the market and finds profitable ways to bring this business to the hotel.
  • Respond in a timely manner to incoming group sales opportunities that are within pre-defined parameters.
  • Prepares arrangements with customers for wedding functions that are booked in person, via telephone, or by correspondence.
  • Obtains all pertinent information concerning the event, such as size of party, menu and schedule of event.
  • Develops detailed Banquet Event Orders according to client requests.
  • Assist operations managers in successfully executing BEO details.
  • Develops aggressive long and short-range sales objectives and assists with promotional programs targeting weddings and social business based on sales projections and historical accomplishments.
  • Works closely with Executive Chef regarding specialty menu requests and package pricing.
  • Serves as the point of contact for all wedding events.
  • Work collaboratively with other sales channels (e.g. on-property resources) to ensure sales efforts are coordinated, complementary, and not duplicative.
  • Capture and close the best opportunities for the property based on market conditions, the property's needs, and within the hotel parameters.
  • Execute and support the operational aspects of business booked. Transfer accurate, complete, and timely information to the Events department in accordance with hotel and brand standards.
  • Follow all additional duties as assigned by management.

Salary $70K to $80K DOE
