Wage : $29.00 - $31.00/hourly

Position Summary:
The Program Coordinator will be responsible for the development and implementation of family-centered home-based services. Includes comprehensive understanding of the Parents as Teachers (PAT) program and funding source requirements, networking with other service providers in the community, recruiting families and providing services (to include assessment, planning, developmental screening, referrals, and education), supervising PAT family educator(s), recruiting and supervising interns and volunteers, and assisting with securing new funding sources.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide family-centered, home-based services
  • Conduct recruitment, enrollment, and implement activities in the Parents as Teachers curriculum, focusing on the holistic needs of the family. This includes attending community meetings and events in all areas served by the PAT program.
  • Conduct home-visits, addressing specific goals established by the family; conduct developmental screenings; make referrals and establish connections to other community resources as needed or when identified by the family
  • Document services provided to families and submit required paperwork in a timely, well-organized fashion.
  • Supervise Parent Educators in the PAT program
  • Provide administrative and reflective supervision to staff in the Central Washington Region
    • Provide at least two hours per month of reflective supervision of PAT Parent Educators regarding their job duties and responsibilities (this includes their role, ethics and boundaries, skill development and effective use of PAT curricula; self-care and well-being, family engagement and relationship development).
    • Provide written documentation of their supervision
  • Travel to counties served by the PAT program and meet with staff in person on regular basis
  • Ensure that supervisees have an efficient and comprehensive record keeping system that facilitates accurate and timely completion submission, filing and retrieval of essential documents.
  • Ensure that all Group Connections are planned in advance and have quality facilitation.
  • Track and ensure completion of all documentation associated with Group Connections.
  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and awareness through the hiring, training, and on-going professional development of staff.
  • Complete introductory and annual performance evaluations in collaboration with the Program Manager.
  • Prepare agendas for and facilitation of staff meeting and advisory committee meetings in collaboration with the Program Manager.
  • Develop connections and collaborations with community entities and service providers
  • Participate in the local early learning coalition.
  • For each Parent Educator, complete at least one observed visit per quarter, one file review per quarter and one observed assessment being administered during the program year. Type those observations into appropriate PAT records and provide those records to the Program Manager
  • Work with each newly hired Parent Educator to complete the New Hire Checklist over their first year
  • Ensure model fidelity and continuously provide quality assurance
  • Coordinate and facilitate ongoing Continuous Quality Improvement projects in collaboration with the Program Manger and the CQI team.
  • Maintain and regularly update the PAT quality assurance documents.
  • Regularly track the quality of data entry and work with the Program Manager to prepare data reports for stakeholders.
  • Build a strong understanding of PAT Quality Standards, MIECHV documentation standards and contractual obligations
  • Build a strong understanding of Visit Tracker and train new employees on data entry and pulling reports
  • Assist Program Manager with tracking and ordering of program supplies and office supplies. This includes tracking of inventory on the Shopify app.
  • In collaboration with the Program Manager, regularly review and as necessary, update the affiliate Policy and Procedures. Ensure that all PEs are following the Policy and Procedures.
  • Follow agency guidelines regarding confidentiality and other consumer rights and ensure that staff are following these protocols to ensure client confidentiality.
  • Maintain flexible hours and schedule the visits according to the families needs.
  • Participate in hiring interviews and provide necessary training to staff to be successful including an introduction to the program and agency mission, goals, and operations. Also orientate new staff to the other services provided by the agency.
  • Participate in onboarding activities for all new PAT staff.
  • Represent the agency in a professional manner within the community
  • Work well with other agencies personnel
  • Maintain an effective system of internal communication strategies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
The following requirements are those that are normally required for performance of this position. Physical Requirements:
This position normally requires the physical demands of sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting or performing other work requiring low physical exertion, talking, hearing and adequate vision on a regular basis to perform the job requirements. These physical demands are required up to 80% of the time.
Non-Physical Requirements:
Education:
  • Bachelors Degree in Behavioral Sciences, required
Experience:
  • One years experience working with parents and young children, with Masters degree
  • 2 years experience working with parents and young children
  • 2 years supervisory experience preferred
Special Skills:
  • Knowledge of child development, a range of child rearing practices and issues
  • Knowledge of community resources
  • Knowledge of appropriate use of screening materials
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess good data management skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required
  • Ability to provide culturally relevant services
Licensure, Registration, Certification:
  • First Aid/CPR certification required
  • Valid Washington State drivers license and minimum required liability insurance for WA State
Employment is conditional upon:
  • Being cleared by criminal background check and fingerprinting when required
