Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago is Hiring a Program Manager-Academic Counseling Near Chicago, IL

Essential Functions of the position are detailed below, and include any physical requirements below that.
1. Responsible for supervising staff in the Title One program in Chicago. Assist staff in handling school-based case situations which may involve collaborating with parents, faculty or principals.
2. Responsible for the hiring, coaching, supervising, training and development, discipline, and evaluation of staff performance.
3. Complies with all requirements regarding utilization of each electronic record keeping system. Review and approve assessments and service plans for each student. Ensures staff maintain up-to-date and accurate student files and databases, as required by agency/programmatic policies and procedures, professional standards, and external requirements of all relevant regulatory, licensing, or accrediting bodies.
4. Maintains regular communication with the Director regarding status of program and ensures prompt notification of all significant issues, particularly those that may impact an individual's safety and well-being, as well as risk management and contractual compliance.
5. Maintains knowledge of developmental issues, Individual Education Plan requirements, and community resources.
6. Handles all crisis situations with sensitivity and experience, makes independent decisions and consults with supervisory chain and internal and external parties when necessary to resolve matters.
7. Responsible for all coordination or continuous quality improvement activities within the program including analyzing and sharing data and program outcomes to enhance the quality of services and ensure compliance with all requirements.
8. Attends all required meetings and is responsible for all services delivered through the funding contracts.
9. Ensures all programmatic and fiscal reports are submitted timely and appropriately.
10. Provides presentations or training to parents or faculty on issues related to child development.;

Makes recommendations to enhance current services and methods of delivery and implements any program/departmental improvements as needed or required.

Maintains confidentiality of the client, staff and agency information. Reports any known of suspected breaches of confidentiality in accordance with Agency policy. Reports possible misconduct or relevant errors/oversights in a timely manner and responsibly addresses related issues with chain of command. Demonstrates an understanding of and respect for client diversity and varied cultural backgrounds of those we serve and the importance of cultural competency in provision of services.
