CAT I GLASS MANUFACTURING is Hiring a Customer Service Rep. Near South Elgin, IL

Job Summary:
The Customer Service/Inside Sales Representative is responsible for engaging with customers on behalf of the company. This position will answer phone calls and/or emails from customers. Enter Sales Orders, work with production, and the shipping departments to meet customer expectations while creating a positive customer experience.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Process all customer orders and requirements in a timely manner
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, manage time efficiently and adapt to an ever-changing work day
  • Manage a high volume of emails and effectively monitor and respond in a timely manner
  • Input orders accurate, valid and complete information
  • Build sustainable relationships with customers through trust and interactive communication
  • Identify and assess customer needs by analyzing past data and achieving a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Make sales suggestions to existing customer
  • Resolve complaints and documents appropriately within the established time frames
  • Track customer trends and suggest blanket orders where appropriate to give customers price breaks / volume incentives
  • Operate standard office equipment on a regular basis, including but not limited to; fax machine, copy machine, scanning, computer and phone.
  • Must be able to report to work as scheduled and on time
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Checking with customer to see on moving over stock that is in inventory
  • Slow Business – checking in with customer to see if they have any current or future needs.
  • Blanket Orders – checking in with customer to see if they would like to put in a blanket order to make sure material is on hand and to lock in pricing.
  • Assist with Accounts receivables 30, 60 and 90 day.
Skills and/or Competencies:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail
Education/Experience:
  • High school or equivalent preferred
  • 3 years Customer service/Inside sales experience in a manufacturing company
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office required
  • Experience with Sage/Peach Tree and Act! Is a plus.

Cat-i Glass Manufacturing can trace its roots back to Elgin Precision Glass (EPG) founded by Carl Jaynes in 1965. EPG started out producing automotive air conditioning sight glasses in a barn and eventually grew into a thriving business housed in a new 144,000 square foot building. EPG was sold in the late eighties but the concepts endured. In 1995, Cat-i Glass Manufacturing emerged to carry on the EPG mission. Our engineering and management group has in excess of 25 years of glass experience. With its core being made up of previous EPG employees, Cat-i Glass has come a long way since the barn....
