Casks Flights in Pensacola is looking for a bartender to join our team. We are looking for a candidate with a unique skill set, who has a willingness to learn and the ambition to develop with a new unique new location north and downtown Pensacola bar.
The Bartender - Should previous experience with a high volume location a plus. This is a unique position, and we are looking for qualified candidates with a serious passion for all things wine in a fun work environment, with a great potential for growth.
MUST HAVE
· Flexible availability that includes days, nights, weekends, holidays etc... You must be available to work 3-5 shifts per week.
· A reliable form of transportation or live in the area. You must be punctual and show up on time for all of your shifts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis. This includes requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce based on projections from the daily functions
· Responsible for maintaining stock, prepping bar, cleaning restocking wine dispensers and other daily duties to insure product quality.
Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promotes wines & other bar beverages . A positive and outgoing attitude and ability to talk to guests about food and wine for 4-8 hours a day. Check guests for proper identification. Detect and act upon guest inebriation as trained. Demonstrate knowledge of liquor laws.
Inputs orders into a register at the point of sale to maintain accountability of all beverages served.
Engage in friendly, courteous customer interactions that exceed customer expectations
Multi-task well, and appropriately manage multiple groups of people/tables at the same time
Share general information about our wines and express enthusiasm for them
Work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Work as a part of a team and build relationships
Stand for long periods of time
Lift, load, and carry 50lbs (case of wine)
Anticipate the needs of both guests and tasting room management
Learn quickly and carry out written and oral instructions
Share general tourism information of the surrounding area
Have a positive attitude at all times!
Ensure proper food safety and sanitation standards to ensure guest safety. Prior Serv Safe Certification
