Accounts Payable SpecialistThis is the part-time Accounts Payable Specialist role you have been seeking! You’ll join the small, friendly team at an established Rutland, VT company with a casual, yet professional environment. If you have some general accounting experience, a sense of humor, and aren’t afraid to ask questions, then this could be a great fit!Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist
- Run subledger reports and reconcile to general ledger balances
- Process payments
- Distribute mail
- Process invoices from mail and emails
- Create forms for payroll and 401(k) expense
- Supply payment remittance information to vendors
- Answer AP payment inquiries
- Generate reports
- Enter AP data into Excel
- Identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective action
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications of the Accounts Payable Specialist
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration
- 0-2 years of general accounting experience
- AP and ERP systems experience a plus
- Working knowledge of accounting systems, MS Word, and Excel spreadsheets
- Excellent time management skills
- Energetic team player with excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
