Teller
Travel between branches on an On-Call basis to perform various duties of the teller function. Must exhibit an ability to work as a team member and move easily from one task to another with little disruption.
Specific duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ø Obtain adequate understanding of all bank products and services and be able to explain the benefits and features of each as they relate to individual customers.
Ø Obtain adequate understanding of Bank Policy and Procedures and Deposit Compliance and Regulations to insure that all duties are performed within the accepted parameters.
Ø Perform the paying and receiving functions of a teller including but not limited to verifing and validating deposits; making withdrawals from accounts; cash negotiable instruments; count coin and currency and prepare for transfer to vault; sell Cashier’s Checks, Money Orders, redeem Savings Bonds; accept loan payments, perform cash advance for Visa/MasterCard and Quick Draw; process night depository items; all of which must be done in accordance with bank policy and Federal regulations.
Ø Maintain an adequate level of accuracy in handling the cash drawer and the preparation of customer’s transactions.
Ø Responsible for compliance with the BSA/AML Policy as follows
Ø Provide exemplary customer service by greeting the customer with a smile and direct eye contact; calling the customer by name; acknowledging any waiting customer; listening for the customer’s needs and cross-selling any product or service that might meet that need; and always thanking the customer for his business.
Ø Assist customer with non-paying and receiving functions such as balance inquires, bookkeeping problems, check orders, maintenance changes to account, stop payments, and memos.
Ø Answer telephone and assist customers with their needs always using proper telephone etiquette.
Ø Assist with general housekeeping so as to always present an organized and professional appearance.
Ø Attend ongoing training classes as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ø High school graduate (or equivalent) required
Ø Previous cash handling and sales/customer service experience preferred
Ø Ability to clearly communicate and interact with customers both internally and externally
Ø Excellent math and computer skills
Ø Professional appearance and pleasant demeanor
