The Royal Group, a subsidiary of Schwarz Partners, is currently seeking aHuman Resources Generalist to support Cicero Facility in Cicero, IL. The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting the HR team in activities related to benefits, talent acquisition, employee engagement, wellness, onboarding and off-boarding process for new hires, promotions, and transfers. The HR Generalist should be able to provide best-in-class service to TRG members and bring a proactive approach to the role. The HR Generalist must have general knowledge of federal, state employment laws, and compliance requirements. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION: Assists in developing and implementing human resources objectives and programs, in areas including but not limited to staffing, compensation, performance, retention and members training and development.Assists with enrollment of Company benefits programs and provides technical assistance to members needing assistance. Assists in the Company recruitment effort, job opening postings, and working with hiring managers to understand their hiring needs.Facilitates the on-boarding processes for bargaining and non-bargaining personnel. Handles all administrative tasks for on-boarding, new-member orientations, and off-boarding.Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.Provides guidance and interpretation of personnel policies and procedures to staff, communicating difficult/sensitive information tactfully and escalating as necessary.Maintains up to date Human Resources Information Systems records (Ceridian Dayforce, Benefit Solver) and compiles reports from databases. Maintains member data and personnel records.Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, and new technologies in all areas of Human Resources. Recommends new processes to meet the developing HR needs of the organization. Participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations as needed. Coordinate employee engagement activities.Comply with company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations. PREFERRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: A 4-year degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred but not required. Minimum three (3) years of Human Resources experience in the manufacturing industry; or HR field. Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.A combination of education and experience qualifies.REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES: Spanish speaking and writing fluency strongly preferred.Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills, allowing for communication across all levels of the organization. Proficient computer skills, including MS Office. Advanced knowledge of HRIS software applications and ability to learn new technical systems when needed.Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.Excellent organizational, time management skills with strong attention to detail.Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality always.
