Job Title: Career counselor Manager

Our organization is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Career Counseling Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for guiding and counseling minors, and young adults ranging from 16-25 yrs , providing all necessary services for students, and ensuring the best service you are able to provide,

Responsibilities:

• Lead, guide, and counsel our students through their career path
• Provide empathy and support to students while holding them accountable when needed
• Develop and implement counseling programs and services for our students
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the best possible outcomes for students
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions and student progress
• Stay up-to-date with the latest counseling techniques and best practices

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling or a related field
• Proven experience in counseling minors, young adults from different walks of life
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to provide empathy and support while holding students accountable
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of counseling techniques and best practices

Qualifications:

Minimum: Bachelor’s degree (including 15 semester hours of instruction in social services-related instruction), two years’ experience in counseling or related field, plus two years’ experience working with youth and young adults.

Preferred: Minimum plus Previous Job Corps experience

Knowledge: Sound knowledge of counseling and supervisory techniques. Must be able to effectively communicate with culturally disadvantaged and minority youth. Ability to obtain a state driver’s license. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Must obtain and maintain valid CPR/FA certification. Good organizational skills. Ability to inspire and motivate staff.
