POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of HR is responsible for overseeing the Human Resources Talent
Acquisition, and Administration departments at Warrior Precast.. This individual will
ensure that all team members are in alignment with our mission, vision, and goals..
Key fundamentals of this role include developing the trust and confidence necessary to
help our team navigate sensitive hiring and performance management decisions,
coaching and developing our staff, creating incentive and retention strategies, and
elevating their personal leadership and compliance with state and federal employment
regulations. The successful incumbent will possess a breadth of knowledge in these
areas, as well as the ability to work and collaborate effectively within a highly
team-centric environment.
OBJECTIVES
● Oversee and approve the recruitment of all talent into Warrior Precast who are
aligned with the Mission, Vision, and Values of our business
● Oversee sourcing and onboarding of new team members from a cultural,
operational and financial standpoint
● Oversee office administration, including but not limited to visitors, inventory,
cultural events...etc.
● Write and implement HR policies and ensure teams are held accountable to
adhering to the changes
● Execute strategic planning that tailors hiring, benefits, career development,
succession planning and employee policies to help drive business goals
● Implement plan to support 1:1 meetings and staff meetings in ways that lift engagement and speed development
● Coach leadership team members on proper documentation, performance management, and engagement for their team
● Provide guidance on compliance and other HR-related matters
● Lead verbal warnings, performance improvement plans, and termination of all team members to ensure compliance and alignment with best practice
● Develop and execute on the annual Performance Review process
● Create, assess, and update incentive plans that align and motivate the team to hit targets in alignment with company goals and initiatives
● Develop customized job descriptions for all team members that possess relevant
objectives and technical competencies that drive targets for the team to hit company goals and initiatives
● Create and manage the termination of employees alongside succession planning
COMPETENCIES
● Deep understanding of employment law and regulations to develop company policies
● Basic knowledge of benefits to coordinate with insurance brokers and carriers
● Knowledge of how to guide others through the disciplinary process from verbal warning, performance improvement plan...etc.
● Ability to facilitate termination conversations with team members in a professional manner and in accordance with HR best practices
● Ability to coach and mentor new WE Leaders’ on concepts to lead their teams effectively
● Ability to have sensitive HR conversations with team members and maintain professionalism
● vision and leveraging additional compensation opportunities
● Possess financial acumen in order to develop HR, Office Admin, & Recruitment Budgets with the Finance team
● Ability to balance the need to take disciplinary action while also exhibiting a comforting nature for people to confide in
● Expert on the recruitment process and can guide the team through more challenging roles and find better ways to attract great talent
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
● At least 5 years’ relevant work in Human Resources or related field
● Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related area of study preferred
● PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
● Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
