The Regional Operations Director is a position critically important for Cardinal. The Regional Operations Director leads a team of high performing Executive Directors to ensure the achievement of high quality of care and fiscal success in the Michigan region. Our goal is to grow together through support and creative thinking as we work together to continually improve our buildings every day. This position will offer a generous base salary plus bonus opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to ensure efficient day-to-day operations of all senior living communities within the region.
  • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance overall performance and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with community managers to identify operational challenges and develop effective solutions.
Financial Management:
  • Identify and address budget/expense concerns with Executive Directors
  • Monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and optimize financial outcomes.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
  • Maintain a strong focus on quality assurance and regulatory compliance across all communities within the region.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify opportunities for quality improvement and risk mitigation.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Team Development and Training:
  • Train and mentor Executive Directors across the region.
  • Complete interviews with Executive Director candidates and participates in a collaborative effort to select the best candidates for job offers.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning within the region.
  • Provide ongoing performance feedback, coaching, and support to drive employee engagement and development.
Customer Experience and Resident Satisfaction:
  • Champion a customer-centric approach to service delivery and resident care.
  • Monitor resident satisfaction levels, address concerns, and implement initiatives to enhance overall resident experience.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to attract new residents and retain existing ones through exceptional service delivery.
Strategic Planning and Execution:
  • Contribute to the development and execution of strategic initiatives, growth plans, and expansion projects within the region.
  • Identify market trends, competitive dynamics, and growth opportunities to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align regional objectives with company-wide goals and initiatives.
Qualifications/Job Requirements will include the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field highly preferred.
  • Proven experience (5 years) in senior leadership roles within the senior living, healthcare, or hospitality industry.
  • Strong understanding of operational management, financial analysis, and regulatory compliance in a multi-site environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results, foster innovation, and lead teams through change.
  • Knowledge of senior living industry trends, best practices, and quality standards.
  • Ability to travel within the region as needed.
