Cardinal Point Security Group is Hiring a Human Resources Generalist Near Jenkintown, PA

Human Resources Generalist

The HR Generalist will be handling a broad range of human resources tasks including policy development, employee relations, benefits administration, unemployment claims, recruiting and onboarding, and compliance with employment laws and regulations, to support effective and efficient operations of the company’s Human Resources department. The core hours for the position are 8:30am to 5pm. However, the ideal candidate will have some flexibility to work earlier/later hours as needed. This position is 100% on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead recruitment efforts on platforms such as Indeed and ADP, crafting compelling job ads, screening candidates, and managing the interview process.
  • Proactively source and identify candidates through various sourcing engines, social media sites, attending networking events and networking with existing pipeline of candidates.
  • Conduct thorough background checks, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, scheduling and coordinating new hire orientation, preparing and revising onboarding paperwork, and other pertinent details.
  • Conduct new hire orientation sessions to ensure a smooth integration of new employees into the organization.
  • Collaborate with department heads to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation in the system.
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.
  • Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
  • Administer employee benefits, ensuring employees are informed and taking full advantage of their benefits.
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events and holiday parties.
  • Experience in handling unemployment claims, providing support and representation for the company as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in HR roles with a focus on recruitment, compliance, and new hire orientation.
  • Familiarity with conducting background checks, including PA criminal history, child abuse clearances, and federal fingerprinting.
  • Experience recruiting on platforms such as Indeed and ADP.
  • Solid understanding of HR generalist functions, including employee relations, benefits administration, compliance with employment laws, and handling of unemployment claims.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification in Human Resources (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred.
