ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communications
    • Ensures complete and timely communication of Company objectives, policies and initiatives throughout the region.
    • Leads and assists store managers in maximizing positive results in the area of Company change and growth through ongoing, proactive and effective downward communication.
    • Fosters an environment of open and upward communication with all staff to insure positive employee morale, effective conflict resolution and upward flow of creative ideas for the benefit of the Company and its employees.
  • Sales Performance
    • Attains regional financial goals by directing store managers in their efforts and execution of individual store financial goals and attainment of all Company sales initiatives.
    • Develops and leads store personnel to be proactive in new business development, sales process execution, customer service, cost control and their ability to properly analyze and take corrective measures in all areas.
  • Personnel Development
    • Teaches, leads and coaches store personnel to increase their effectiveness, efficiency and productivity through continually improving the following areas:
      • Time Management
      • Coaching and Communication Skills
      • Leadership Development
      • Sales Analysis
      • Problem-solving Skills
      • Interpersonal Relations
  • Store Operations and Preparation – Achieves all operational objectives for the region and individual stores, ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures by all store personnel.
  • Customer Service – Ensures excellent execution by store personnel of Car Toys minimum accepted standards of internal and external customer service.
  • Hiring – Hires and promotes quality field personnel in a timely manner that exceed the accepted minimum standards of the Company.
  • Marketing and Merchandising – Executes all Company merchandising and marketing plans and programs, ensuring precise and timely set-up, excellent execution, accurate and timely performance feedback.
  • Loss Prevention – Ensures the effective maintenance and protection of company assets, including physical structures, inventory, personnel and all financial assets.
  • Planning – Participates in annual budget process as well as all related corporate planning and strategies that pertain to the region and stores.
  • Self Development – Actively continues self-development process by gaining knowledge and further building skills as a professional businessperson, manager and leader.

DIMENSIONS:

This position has authority, responsibility and accountability for the following areas:

Budgets (to include Profit & Loss, CAPEX and Balance Sheet); Business Plans; Key Metrics; Policy & Procedure; Contracts (up to and including those less than one year in length and whose expense is within approved budget) and Hi-Level Business Execution of Operating Plans and Requirements.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

The incumbent must have excellent working relationships with as many employees as possible in his/her region. It is critical that his person maintain, in particular, strong working relationships with all senior and departmental managers, vendors and external customers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5 or more years of prior successful Regional Sales Manager experience, preferably in consumer electronics.
  • Car stereo and communications product knowledge
  • Effective communication, organizational and time management skills.
  • Must demonstrate prior success in employee development, participation in problem-solving, relationship building with customers.
  • High level of ambition
  • Management of store and/or regional personnel.
  • Willingness to travel a significant amount of the time.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Demonstrated leadership by example in a changing environment.
  • Objectivity, interpersonal, facilitation and coaching skills
  • Willingness to uphold Company policies and procedures.
