Position and Candidate Specifications
Inside Sales Representative
JOB SUMMARY:
Capital Precast has an opening for an Inside Sales Representativeat our San Marcos Facility. In this role, you will report to the Sales Manager and will be responsible for inside sales functions. The inside salesperson will be responsible for providing timely and accurate quotes. Provide order status information to existing and prospective customers and will support our outside sales team with a focus on quote follow-up. The successful candidate will be committed to upholding the Capital Precast values and culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Handling all incoming calls from existing and prospective accounts.
  • Creating sales orders for new business, including will-call and cash accounts, and generating Special Drawings as required.
  • Collaborating with the credit department to establish credit accounts and ensure timely payments within company terms.
  • Developing proficiency in the Titan operating system, utilizing its quote system, account management tools, and other relevant functions.
  • Utilizing Titan ERP database to identify new leads, contacts, and track projects.
  • Alerting outside salespeople about market developments and sharing relevant contacts.
  • Actively participating in the EOS management system process, including attending weekly meetings and completing assigned tasks.
  • Working closely with production management to optimize plant efficiencies, focusing on target quote follow-ups and open quote follow-ups.
  • Maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing and potential customers through proactive communication and excellent customer service.
  • Actively seeking new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-ups, outbound cold calls, and networking.
  • Understanding customer needs and recommending appropriate precast concrete products to meet project specifications.
  • Preparing and delivering product quotes, proposals, and presentations professionally and persuasively.
  • Collaborating with the sales team and other departments to ensure timely order delivery and fulfillment.
  • Utilizing CRM software to track leads, manage customer accounts, and maintain accurate sales records.
  • Staying updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify business opportunities.
  • Participating in trade shows, industry events, and networking activities to promote Capital Precast and enhance brand awareness.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Degree or equivalent.
  • Must have knowledge of all precast concrete products sold by Capital Precast and provide clear guidance to customers regarding product selection.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Titan ERP.
  • Experience in sales is required, preferably in the construction industry or related field.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrable success in working with people and processes.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment with production, purchasing, engineering, sales, quality, finance, human resources and other stakeholders within the organization.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Work in an office environment, sitting for extended periods of time.
  • May need to go out to the plants in outdoor weather conditions, including extreme hot or cold temperatures.
  • Plant includes: moving machinery and equipment, possible electrical hazards, confined spaces, and a noisy environment.
  • Work Location: In-Person / On-site
SCHEDULE:
  • Monday-Friday (daytime only)
  • 8-10 hour shifts
  • Some weekends as needed
