Position Overview: The Preschool Director oversees management, administration, organization, and compliance with standards for the traditional and Montessori preschool programs and the newly created Daycare program serving 2 year olds.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring the program complies with all childcare regulations including but not limited to:
• maintaining correct ratios in each classroom dependent on the age of the youngest child in the classroom,
• ensuring that all staff maintain their childcare status for fingerprints, training hours and CPR/First aid training,
• regularly monitoring classrooms for regulation compliance (outlet plugs covers, plastic bags, sharp objects, personal belongings, etc.),
• ensuring compliance of required postings,
• completing background checks for all new childcare employees,
• completing and submitting the emergency plan.
• Responsible for obtaining substitute teachers for lead teachers, assistants and after school personnel.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree.
• Previous experience working with daycare or preschool-aged children.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, observation, and collaboration skills.
• Patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic about working with students and families.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and a growth mindset.
