Camp Construction Services is Hiring a Multifamily Services Manager Near Charlotte, NC

Services Manager

Department: Services

Operations Area: Assigned Location

Reports to: Services Manager

Subordinates: None

Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday (some days may require more than 8 hours; some weeks may require additional workdays). May be required to attend industry/company functions outside of normal business hours.

Position Summary

The Services Manager oversees all projects from beginning to the end while professionally representing Camp. The role is responsible for writing a detailed scope of work, estimating the scope of work, selecting subcontractor, procures materials, scheduling start/completion dates, and overseeing all work to ensure quality control and the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

The Services Manager must have strong oral and written skills to effectively communicate with other Camp employees, vendors, subcontractors, and clients including property-level personnel. Service Superintendents should have experience bidding, selling, and producing work in the construction industry. The role must have the ability excellent time management skills for self and others to ensure the successful delivery of projects. The role must have excellent organization and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail. General knowledge of all aspects of maintenance repair and service including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and general maintenance. Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat. Must have 2 years’ experience in construction service. Must have completed OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 courses, or complete OSHA 10 within first 10 working days, and OSHA 30 within the first 40 working days of employment with Camp.

Responsibilities

  • Research, create and recommend scopes of work, contractors, vendors and suppliers. All RFPs must be submitted to client within 72 hours.
  • Coordinate and direct awarded work to include subcontractor buyout and management, material procurement, invoice review and approval, and client approval.
  • Manage all assigned projects toward the objectives of completion on time, on budget, and with a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Ensure knowledge of construction practices, ADA standards, local and state building codes are up to date.
  • Communicate timely and effectively with appropriate site-level personnel which could be the Property Manager, Maintenance Supervisor and or Regional Manager concerning all aspects of the project.
  • Inspect all completed work to ensure quality control.
  • Ensure a safe working environment is maintained targeting a “Zero Incidents Today” mindset to include conducting and participating in safety meetings and programs.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with existing and prospective subcontractors.
  • Review invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance to agreed terms.
  • Manage or assist with other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
