Who We Are: CAMBA is a community of staff, volunteers, clients, donors, neighbors and partners who work together to build an inclusive New York City, where all children and adults have access to the resources and supports they need to thrive. We take a comprehensive approach by offering more than 160 integrated programs in: Education & Youth Development, Family Support, Job Training & Employment Support Services, Health, Housing, and Legal Services. The Scattered Site Housing Program (SSHP) –provides 270 scattered site-housing units to HIV/AIDS Services Administration (HASA) clients. All the units are leased in the agency’s name. Sixty Seventy units are dedicated for families and 203 units are for single individuals. The program has two components to assist clients succeed in housing, socials services and operations. Case management staff focusses on removing barriers to maintain medical care and achieve viral suppression by ensuring that all clients’ basic needs are met and that clients are connected to needed services, such as mental health and substance abuse. The operations component focuses on the housing units meeting habitability standards by working with landlords and management companies to address major repair issues and complete minor repairs, as well as identifying new units, negotiating leases and making units ready when there is a vacancy.

Position: Assistant Program Manager (Clinical)

What The Assistant Program Manager (Clinical) Does:

• Communicate with peers in other CAMBA programs on issues related to client progress.
• Understand all aspects of contract requirements and communicate this understanding to staff.

• Train staff in program responsibilities, processes and procedures and ensure that all staff meets contract requirements in their daily work.
• Work with staff to set realistic weekly and monthly performance targets in accordance with contract requirements.
• Provide individual and family counseling to program clients.
• Refer clients with intensive mental health needs to an appropriate mental health provider.
• Conduct face to face home visits to clients to provide services.
• Document all interactions with clients in the case records.
• Conduct periodic internal file review and implement Quality Assurance measures as needed to ensure quality service delivery to clients.
• Prepare contract reports and statistical information for both CAMBA management and funder use.
• Complete program forms and reports for the agency’s finance, payroll and human resources departments as required.
• Assist in the analysis of program and demographic data to make programmatic improvements.
• Organize onsite and offsite training opportunities for professional development of staff.
• Assist the Program Manager in providing oversight for all aspects of the program in his/her absence.
• Confer with the Program Manager, Program Director, and/or other CAMBA management staff as needed regarding programmatic and personnel issues.
• Attend staff/funder/outside agency meetings as requested.
• Prepare performance appraisals for direct reporting staff.
• May observe direct reporting staff engaging with clients and/or supervisory staff.
• May conduct weekly client progress reviews with staff.
• May prescreen clients over the telephone for eligibility and may schedule intake appointments.
• May plan, coordinate and facilitate social/peer support events, including group facilitation for clients.
• May develop appropriate marketing material and marketing/outreach strategies for the program.
• May network both within and outside CAMBA to expand client recruitment and opportunities for client success.
• May review and sign time sheets

Minimum Education/Experience Required:

• New York State Licensed Master’s Degree in Social Work (LMSW or LCSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor and three years of applicable experience, and/or equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

• Knowledge about, understanding of, and ability to work closely with, persons with HIV/AIDS and related issues.

Compensation: $73,000 - $75,000 annually
When salary ranges are listed, the range would represent the low and high end for the applicable position & program. The salary offered would be based on various factors unique to each program and candidate. This includes but is not limited to experience, education, budget and/or program size, internal equity, skills and other factors that may be required for the position and organization.
