JOB TITLE: Quality Control Inspector

JOB TYPE: Full-time, non-exempt

WORK LOCATION: In office, no remote work

WORK SCHEDULE: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with possibility of OT

PAY RANGE: $16 - $19.00/hr (DOE)

We are a family-owned manufacturing company located in Anaheim, CA and have been in business for over 20 years. We specialize in manufacturing aerospace parts and producing assemblies.

We are looking for an individual who is self-motivated and detailed oriented to join our company as Quality Control Inspector. As the Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for inspection-related activities that assure all product(s) manufactured by the organization meet customer specifications and achieve superior quality and reliability levels.

The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude as well as have strong communication and organizational skills. The candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable working both independently and in a team environment. The candidate should know how to use precision measuring instruments, such as calipers and micrometers.

Essential job duties and responsibilities:

• Responsible for First Article Inspections and Final Article Inspections
• Responsible for ensuring end item deliverable product is in compliance with applicable product and customer requirements
• Process all non-conformances related to end product deliverable item(s), machining, company procedures and processes, and etc…
• Inspection of end product deliverable item(s) by checking dimensional conformity to drawing
• Follow work instructions, test procedures, and equipment manuals related to inspection procedures established by the company
• Assist and make recommendations to the Quality Manager for all quality related functions/processes related to manufacturing - ensuring compliance, making improvements for continuous improvement to organization’s quality
• Participation on continuous improvement projects
• Participate in root cause investigations related to customer complaints of non-conforming product

Education and work experience:

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience in inspection work in a similar field preferred

Knowledge and skills:

• Be able to use inspection tools, such as calipers, micrometers, gages, etc.
• Be able to type and use a computer to view drawings, complete reports, etc.
• Be able to communication with team members effectively and respectfully
• Be detail-oriented
• Be organized

Physical demands:

• Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office and warehouse setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a keyboard. Must be able to lift up to ten pounds.
