JOB TITLE: Shipping & Receiving Assistant

JOB TYPE: Full-time, non-exempt

WORK SCHEDULE: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday

PAY RANGE: $16.00-17.00 (DOE)

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who can multi-task to join our company as a Shipping & Receiving Assistant. As the Shipping & Receiving Assistant, you will be assisting the Shipping & Receiving Department in their daily shipping and receiving activities with a focus on handling material certifications and reviewing part specifications.

The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude as well as have strong communication and organizational skills. The candidate should be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable working both independently and in a team environment. This is an entry-level position; training will be provided.

Essential job duties and responsibilities:

• Preparing, organizing, and checking material certification paperwork
• Reviewing and breaking down part specifications for Shipping/Receiving and Inspection departments
• Assisting the Shipping Lead in shipping packages on-time
• Pulling and putting away parts and hardware in the stock room; control flow of product inventories in and out of the stock room
• Responsible for maintaining and organizing company stock room, including data entry of stock information
• Assist in auditing stock inventory as needed
• Other duties as assigned by Shipping Manager

Education and work experience:

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge and skills:

• Communication skills
• Detail-oriented
• Organized

Physical demands:

• Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office and warehouse setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a keyboard. Must be able to lift up to ten pounds.
