What You’ll Get to Do
CACI is looking for an experienced Operations Support Engineer to work on a Program in Pentagon, VA. CACI supports the program across a broad range of systems and software technologies. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of operations, automation, and system administration. They should have an understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies and experience delivering operational support to mission critical systems. In this role, they will have the opportunity to perform Oracle database related assignments essential to the production and development of Database Management Systems (DBMS) applications. They will apply knowledge and experience with performing database operations and support overall monitoring of standards and procedures. They will possess and apply a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. This position is responsible for ensuring that all assigned work activities are performed in a timely and cost-effective manner while maintaining the highest quality of performance.
The ability to be adaptable and to work constructively with a technically diverse team is also crucial. A willingness to learn and stay abreast of industry trends is also required. The program emphasizes innovation, and CACI looks for individuals who can bring creative ideas to solve complex problems, both technical and procedural.
More About the Role
Serves as an operations specialist responsible to support onsite customers to ensure applications and services are functioning and activities associated with delivery of customer-defined systems; basic responsibilities include:
Perform manual data transfer across domains and monitors Infrastructure and applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve operational issues.
Responds to complex customer-reported systems problems in production.
Reviews and ensures integrity via standardized support tools.
May develop stored procedures and/or triggers using PL/SQL.
Implements and maintains smooth operation and physical design of databases.
Manage and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
Implements automation and tooling to increase efficiency and reduce manual processes.
Troubleshoots complex infrastructure and application issues.
Facilitates communication across teams when an incident requires input and/or resolution from externals stakeholders.
Provides Tier 2 operations support to address technical issues or high impact incidents in conjunction with support staff and leads.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications
College degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline. Equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
Must be a U.S. Citizen with at least an active DOD Secret clearance or higher.
Security CE Certification
Experience with Oracle RDBMS (version 19c or higher) running on RedHat Linux environment.
Solid understanding of Linux systems administration and networking.
Experience with Oracle OBIEE (version 12c or higher) running on RedHat Linux environment.
Working experience with SQL tools (SQLPlus, PL/SQL Developer, TOAD).
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills the ability to convey technical information as necessary.
Customer-focused mindset with a dedication to meeting service level agreements (SLAs) and customer expectations.
8 years of related software development experience preferably with software development projects using an Agile Scrum approach.
Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with very strong work ethic; self-starter
Ability to perform root cause analysis for system failures and implement corrective actions.
These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have
Proficiency in developing SQL queries and/or stored procedures using PL/SQL.
Ability to troubleshoot RDBMS (Oracle) Databases.
Experience with scripting languages, such as DOS, Bash or PowerShell.
Acts independently to expose and resolve problems.
Technical Certifications.
