    Curriculum and Instruction Job Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Temporary Part-Time Learning and Development Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and managing professional development courses in the NCEES platform, coordinating various professional development locations, designing logistical communication plans to support learning opportunities, and managing parent curriculum Canvas courses. Your commitment to enhancing professional growth and seamless curriculum delivery will contribute to the overall development of our staff and educational offerings.
    Responsibilities:
    Professional Development Course Creation and Management:
    Develop engaging and relevant professional development courses utilizing the NCEES platform.
    Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure course content is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with industry standards.
    Monitor course progress, track participant engagement, and provide support as needed.
    Coordination of Professional Development Locations:
    Coordinate logistics for various professional development events, workshops, and training sessions.
    Secure appropriate venues, manage room reservations, and arrange necessary equipment and materials.
    Ensure seamless execution of events, considering participant needs and preferences.
    Logistical Communication Plans:
    Design comprehensive communication plans to provide clear instructions and expectations for professional learning opportunities.
    Collaborate with internal teams to deliver timely and relevant information to participants, including event details, schedules, and materials.
    Management of Parent Curriculum Canvas Courses:
    Oversee the creation and maintenance of Canvas courses designed for parents to engage with the curriculum.
    Curate content, resources, and assignments to facilitate a collaborative learning experience for parents.
    Data Management and Analysis:
    Manage data related to professional development participation, course completion, and parent engagement.
    Generate reports to analyze the effectiveness of learning initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
    Proficiency in using NCEES or similar e-learning platforms to develop and manage courses.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data management.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Canvas Learning Management System.
    Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
    Previous experience in curriculum design, learning management, or educational technology is advantageous.
    Duration and Hours:
    This is a temporary part-time position with an expected duration of 10 months. The position requires up to 25 hours per week.
